Please meet the current Deputy Chief Scott Metille of the Peoria Heights Police Department.
The announcement that his career move to Chilli will be official happens February 13th, at the next City Council meeting. But there already has been buzzzz on the streets that this is a done deal, though protocol still needs to be followed.
There will be an Employee Relations Committee meeting later today, however it will be a closed session where only the Mayor, our Alderman and the City Attorney will be gathering. According to Mayor Troy, this meeting will be held to once again discuss personnel.
More as it comes in
2-1-12 2:30p update - Earlier today Deputy Chief Metille returned my phone call and we had a very pleasant conversation. I'm very glad that I was able to spend a few minutes speaking with Mitelle outside of a more formal setting. He spoke proudly of the years he'd spent with the Peoria Heights PD, how he's worked hard to get where he is and the fact that becoming Police Chief had always been the goal he was striving for. The fact that it's now becoming a reality in the town where their roots are strong, was just something that completed the picture.
Learn more about Metille in the next edition of CI.
