‘Ragin Cajuns’ stars visit Chillicothe

Last Wednesday, I had the privilege via invitation from Jimmy Mattox, to visit with his cousin and family who are in town from Venice, Louisiana. Jimmy’s cousin, formerly Donna Neal hails originally from Chillicothe. Although raised in Chillicothe, her life ended up in Venice. She then married Timothy Ceramie, affectionately known as ‘Captain Blimp’, from Venice.
Captain Blimp is a professional shrimp fisherman as well as a hunter and trapper. His sister, Shawn and fishing mate, Matthew ‘Chew’ Dupre, accompanied Captain Blimp and Donna on their trip to see Donna’s cousin, Jimmy. The four of them brought along plenty of big and delicious shrimp for some of us Midwesterners to sample. ‘Chew’ and the Captain did the Cajun ‘Shrimp Boil’ and I must admit it was absolutely delicious and certainly abundant.
Captain Blimp is a featured personality on the upcoming new show on the Discovery Channel starting January 17, 2012 called the RAGIN CAJUNS.
