IVC hires Camp as new athletic director

Illinois Valley Central School District 321 School Board has announced its approval of Daniel Camp as IVC’s new Athletic Director, starting July 1, replacing Dennis O’Boyle, who retires at the end of this school year. Currently, Camp is the Athletic Director at Richwoods High School. Director Camp was selected from a field of over 50 applicants.
In a phone conference early this week, Camp declared, “This is a great move for me and my family. I live in the district. It will be so great to work with and for my own community.” “Dan lives in our community,” Superintendent Dr. Nick Polyak said. “He has children in our schools. He has wonderful experiences professionally as AD at Richwood’s and we look forward to him bringing those experiences to IVC.”
A.D. Camp sees few changes coming in the athletic department. “IVC has a tradition of being a good school academically and athletically. I am excited to be selected for this position. I am looking forward to meeting everyone and working with the fine staff at IVC.”
