(NTA as it appears in numerous arrests means Notice to Appear. This can be given at the officer’s discretion in lieu of bail and is a person’s promise to appear in court. It is given so that neither the arrestee nor the officer has to go to the county jail at that time. The arrestee is not considered a flight risk. NTA’s cannot be given in cases of outstanding warrants, of Domestic Battery, or of felony arrests. FTA may also be used in reports involving warrants. This stands for Failure to Appear.)
1/31 1:00 a.m. TRAFFIC ARREST: Teri L. Zarley, 44, of Chillicothe @ 4th and Hillcrest for Driving Under the Influence and several traffic offenses. Taken to Peoria County Jail.
2/1 1:00 a.m. TRAFFIC ARREST: Seth E. Ritthaler, 30, of Peoria @ 2nd and Walnut for Driving Under the Influence and other traffic offenses. Taken to Peoria County Jail.
2/2 2:20 p.m. TRAFFIC ARREST: Michael C. Sievert, 35, of River Beach Drive, Chillicothe @ 4th and Hickory for Driving While License Revoked. Given a NTA.
2/3 4:40 a.m. ARREST: Nicholas R. Gardiner, 18, of Rome West Road, Chillicothe, @ 500 block 4th St., for Disorderly Conduct following a Domestic-type Violence complaint. Given a NTA.
2/4 1:30 a.m. TRAFFIC ARREST: Kathy N. Snider 39, of Wyoming, IL. @ Truitt and Bayberry for Driving Under the Influence and several other violations. Taken to Peoria County Jail.
2/4 7:40 a.m. TRAFFIC ARREST: Jessica L. Bartrlett, 27, of Brimfield @ Plaza Drive and Cloverdale for Driving While License Suspended and a written warning was issued for a traffic violation. Given a NTA.
2/5 1:30 a.m. WARRANT ARREST: Brett D. Oltman 22, of Peoria @ 4th and Hickory, incident to a traffic stop, for an outstanding Peoria County Warrant, FTA – traffic. Taken to Peoria County Jail.
2/5 11:30 a.m. DISORDERLY CONDUCT: It was reported a person-of-interest was harassing a female in the 200 block of Walnut. Upon police arrival, the suspect was gone. Since this was not the first time the suspect had accosted the victim with leud remarks in public, charges would be sought against the suspect.
2/5 8:35 p.m. WARRANT ARREST: Cody J. Mehalic, 22, of Fairbury, IL. @ 300 block of 4th Street incident to a traffic stop for an outstanding Peoria County Warrant, FTA Traffic. Taken to Peoria County Jail.
