This is the 26th annual Madrigal Dinner. Performances were Dec. 10, 11. Both performances were sold out. The Madrigal Dinner included performances by the IVC Vocal Department, a choir made up of students from both CEC and Mossville School and a brass quartet from the IVC Band.
Madrigal Director, IVC Vocal Music director Angie Dorough describes the premise of the Madrigal dinner:
“Our lovely Queen Audra (Audra Storm) and good king Zedekiah (Zane Crockett) have planned a wonderful evening of food and entertainment and have invited some lovely maidens to meet their son, Prince Christopher (Chris Harness).
Princess Delaney Ann (Delaney Lawson), Princess Ashley (Ashley Larson) and Princess Leah (Leah Brincks) have come to participate in the chance to marry the prince. There is just one little hitch; the prince has a problem talking to women folk. He acquires Jester Jess’ (Hannah Bredeman) help in this matter and ultimately finds his true love.
Hilarity ensues as Lord Chamberlain (Connor Orton) and his Jester sidekicks (Katherine Heth and Miclain Keffeler) try to discover a villain amongst the party and traveling troubadours give us their rendition of Hamlet. Over one hundred students from the Chillicothe community joined together to make this weekend a success.”
