IVC’s “Windy Childs” Rerun results

Twenty runners participated including several Alumni and IVC Friends of Cross-Country. It was overcast and humid during the race that was run Saturday morning at Shore Acres Park. The distance run was approximately 2.9 miles.
It was our first meet. For several of our kids it was their first high school meet, so I was anxious to see what they could do. Ryan Greskoviak and Dusty Seckler finished 1st and 2nd in this meet. That was not a surprise since both have run over 300 miles just this summer. I was surprised and happy to see Caleb Magee finish 3rd for us since he didn’t run much with us this summer. The same goes for Joe Power Wayvon who finished 4th. Finishing 5th for the boys was runner Liam Price.
I thought the girls looked good finishing with their top 5 close to one another. In Cross Country the top 5 individual scores for the team with 6 and 7 runners pushing back the other team runners. Finishing 1st for IVC was senior Bethany Espinosa, 2nd was Liz Willford, 3rd was Freshman Erica Larson, 4th Jessica Owdom and 5th, Hannah Williamson. I thought Erica Larson looked very good for her first meet. Jessica Owdom was the only girl with a personal record on the course. The top 3 boys; Greskoviak, Seckler and Magee all had PR’s for the course.
